Hello! I’m Kiran – mum of two, wife of one 😉 coffee lover, foodie, eco-warrior, behavioural scientist, developmental psychologist, PhD, infant massage instructor, breastfeeding mother supporter (in training) and last but definitely not least – feminist!
I have a BSc, MSc and PhD in Psychology, and specifically trained in social and developmental (child) psychology. After finishing my PhD I started work as a behavioural scientist at the Department for Education, where I still work and I love it! However, I have always loved working with children and families directly and this is something I don’t get enough of in my role at the DfE.
During my first pregnancy I became fascinated with the miracle that is women’s bodies, pregnancy, birth and beyond! It was then that I knew I wanted to work specifically with mums and babies. My 2nd baby was born in May 2020 during the first COVID-19 lockdown. With all baby groups and leisure activities shut down, I had the time and space to start thinking and planning how I could satisfy my need to support families and babies at the same time as keeping my role as a behavioural scientist.
And this is when KW Mother Nurture was born.
I am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, trained by the IAIM. However, I will also be sharing my knowledge and experiences on everything that I’m passionate about, such as child development, breastfeeding, gentle parenting, eco-parenting and much more!
